Hi, I'm Tiana. I figured out my dream is to become a model, but here are the problems:

1-I don't think my mom wants to be to one, even though she knows that it is something I take great interest in.

2-I don't know where to start! Or how to start. I can't find a good agency online. (Dallas, TX)

HELP!!

You need a portfolio w/ professional pictures & an agent to represent you. Good Luck!

Sounds like you know what you want! But when you're only 13, you really shouldn't be a model, at least not for a lot of things. Isn't 13 kind of young to be experiencing the pressures of being so thin and all? Just my opinion...but for now try to just practice so you'll be really awesome when a modeling agency recruits you.

Continue to search for an agent. I'm sure you can find one. They have a bunch. Maybe being a model would be fun, but do you really LOVE it? Do you really want a career based on looks? Not saying its wrong, just think about it before you take the first step.

Ok, first your going to want to start a portfolio w/ pictures of you in many different posses and outfits, and different expressions and looks, this business is very pressuring about your looks and its alot of money to do it, and with you mom she is just going to be worried that you arent going to stay in school, just sit her down and explain in detail why you want to do it, explain to her that you arent going to jeperdise your future, tell her about how you want to seek out your dreams and how this will help you show her that you have responsiblity at you age, i was 18 when i started to do modeling, i found out about it through a magize ad in the back of most teen mag. there are a bunch, there are also schooling for it, but i am going to tell that its not cheap, and its really hard work, sit down with her and ask for her help about agencies, she is your mother and she will know if you are bing scamed or not, always check into the agency at the better business buerue, they have all files about that business. Now where to start take some modeling classes, they will help you with your posture, walk, looks, and how to handle yourself, but most of all sit your mom down and tell her that you really want to do this and that you not only want to follow your dreams but that you want her involved every step of the way and hold that to her. good luck and god bless

Well you need to find a good agency to start off with and then maybe look into modeling for gap, limited too or old navy.

I am a model...Are you rich?? If you are not or don't have a source of money, you will be stuck....stay in school then.
It takes lots of money to start....get your mom interested...you will need about $250, 000 to seriously compete. If it is your dream, go for it.
