Please rate my poems from 1-10?

Question

The Key of Faith

When the world crashes on you again and again,
you must let the key of faith in.
When it seems all the doors are shut tight,
you must give a big fight,
and show no fright.
Use the key of faith,
and see the light.
The light will shine through the door,
let your fears go,
and fear no more.



Darkness Will Hide

Trapped within the walls of fear,
into the darkness she peers.
She looks for one last bit of hope,
but with the pain,
she cannot cope.
Her confidence grows thin,
feels like the hard work has never been.
The tears run down her face,
all failure falls in place.
She falls to her knees and begins to pray,
the walls slowly fall,
for fear is not to stay.
She opened her eyes,
to another side.
Now the darkness,
is the one to hide.

These poems are very good. I especially admire the fact that they are both inspiring. The second one, "Darkness Will Hide", is a fine achievement. Keep writing poems, and develop your talent and your insightfulness.

We all learned to write words in elementary school, but when those words can be put together and truly mean something, that is a prime example of the finest art.

I'm not one for numerical ratings, but I have to say that these are a bit insipid and the 11/10 ratings and so on are a little off the mark. Your poems are nice, but they're neither substantive nor especially eloquent. They're the sort of poems that appeal to people who don't like or read serious poetry.

They're not bad for what they are, but the sort of greeting-card sentiment they embody doesn't make for terrific poetry. It may make for terrific greeting cards, but that's a different story.

I don't think that rating these with numbers is useful. Perhaps next time you could ask people to tell you what their reactions are.

Both poems seem pretty honest. If they help you figure out what you're feeling then they've achieved one good purpose. From the reactions you're getting it looks like they're communicating or connecting with several people, so then they've achieved another good purpose.

i think of this a stunning poem, with stunning imagery..i assume you have already defined your poem...your partitions signify who you're, and infrequently once you have a closed door no person can bypass into the room to be certain those partitions...with any luck sooner or later you will unencumber it :) As for the poem itself, i think of you may desire to enhance it via rethinking the meter purely somewhat because of the fact some strains have been somewhat long and the poem can get sooo lots extra desirable in case you purely tweak it up somewhat here and there lotsa skill shop penning :D
