f an egg was fertilized, implantation (when the embryo implants to the lining of your uterus) happens, on average, about 7 days past ovulation. It can happen as early as five days past ovulation or as late as twelve days past ovulation.

I'm pretty sure that a false negative is much more common than a false positive. I'm assuming you didn't get a period that month. The only thing is that you usually ovulate right in between the first day of two consecutive periods. Four days before your period is really late to be ovulating. It is possible you were pregnant from earlier that month or from a previous month if this isn't the first period you've had.
Congradulations, mommy!

you could be pregnant. you should go to the doctor or to the er and have a blood test done.
A blood test is 100% accurate and will show you are pregnant 7 days after conception.
You could have been pregnant like you said. But you could go out and buy another test and re-do it but this time use first morning urine and do not read any results after 10 minutes cause if you do a positive might show up which is called a evaporation line (false positive)

Good luck

With a home pregnancy test, it is more likely it is either from the previous month or a false positive because hCG, the hormone that is detected in home pregnancy tests, may not be detected so soon.
If after 2 weeks, the test is still positive, see a doc.

I found out 3 days before my period was due with a home pregnancy test. I called the doc. set an appointment for about a month and a half and was 6 weeks pregnant. So I found out when it happened.

You can get a positive pregnancy test 8 days after sex. From the day you have sex it will take any where from 5-10 days for implantation bleeding and get a + test. If your unsure go to the doc or just test again. Congrats!!!

i just got a positive pregnancy test (from the dollar store) 5 days before my period was due.... (so those cheap test work and they're only a buck!). anyhow, i believe it just depends on when implantation happened, which is generally about 7-10 days past fertilization. hope you get the results you want!

My test popped up positive 10 days before I expected my period, so it happens. Depends on how much HCG you are producing, that is what they test for.
