If someone in a wheelchair looks like they may be having a hard time manipulating the chair because of a cracked sidewalk, or whatever, I almost always ask them if they need help with anything, some say yes, some say no thank you , then I move on.....But I usually always ask anyway.....You never know...Some are too proud to ask even though they need help.......If not then I give them space to proceed..............

When you pass someone in a wheelchair greet them with a smile and a good word like have a good day .

If there's enough space for you both, just pass. If they're stopped and don't seem in any hurry to get out of the way, say "excuse me."

Just walk politely past. People with disabilities are rightfully proud of their ability to move around.

the same way you would pass anyone, just walk past and say excuse me. I don't give them any special treatment because they say they want to be treated equally, so no special treatment, just pass them

it typically is more difficult for them to wheel than for you to walk...
so make it easy on them
