Aaargh. Thought I owned this book but it's not on the shelf. Don't you have it in front of you? Can't you skim through the chapter?

Off the top of my head, agriculture increased the human life span. But it forced people to settle on a plot of land, and by having surpluses to store, it also created the necessity to defend one's stores and possessions. Agriculture empowered men and disempowered women; in a hunter-gatherer society, a woman could pick up and leave at any time, but married to a farmer, she became dependent on his fields and so was tied to him. Sorry, that's all I can think of and it's probably not what you're looking for.
