i would have to say the bears being able to put up at least 14-21 points would def secure a win the seahawks not having alexander will haev a hard time running the ball wich will make it that much harder to pass without the run you cant pass

The Bears keep the Seahawks under 10 points?? That's like the Sheriff of Ft. Lauderdale saying "as long as there's no drinking, we should have a pretty quiet Spring Break!"
Did you guys actually SEE the game last week? 42-3 after three quarters! They weren't playing the Titans or the Raiders! The NY Giants made the playoffs last year, were one missed FG from beating the 'Hawks at home and this year have beat the Eagles and almost clipped the Colts!
I don't think, because of the little respect that the Seahawks recieve being stuck all the way up in the North-West with the Starbucks coffee like that, that many people (outside of the 'Hawks and Giants of course) really understand just what bringing in Deion Branch has done for this team.
I mean there were Giants Safeties and DBs wandering around in shock during the post-game interviews mumbling, "there were just too many of them..." Branch only caught TWO for 23 yards and yet, just with him in a Seattle uniform on the field, the 'Hawks simply shredded the Giants secondary like tissue paper.
I admire the Bears, they are an excellent team that is heading to the playoffs this year, no doubt! They SHOULD beat the Seahawks at home this week, by all standards. I bet they don't. I think this Seahawk team is in the middle of evolving to a new level. I think they are in the process of becoming a "Team of Destiny." I think that right now, WITHOUT Alexander, they can beat practically anybody in the NFL. With him, they just may be on the verge of becoming "unstoppable" in 2006! We'll see!
I call it SEAHAWKS 27, BEARS 19.

The Bears are definitely the underdogs in the eyes of the nation, but there is no way that the Seahawks can shot down what is easily the best defense in the league.
As long as the Bears can keep Seattle under 10 points (which I believe they will), and none of their key players are injured, Chicago has this one locked.
My prediction:
Bears: 13 (1 TD, 2 FGs); Seahawks 9 (3 FGs)

Chicago Bears at home! Rex Grossman is gaining confidence every game and Alexander is out with an injury. The Bears defense can stop anyone, and with an offense losing their best player, they can certainly handle that. The bears also want to beat Seattle because they made the superbowl, and want to show that they can get to that point this season. Chicago by 5. 21-16

Seahawks by 10. Way too many weapons and a smart QB. Their defense is just about as good as the Bears and they will give Grossman fits. Go Packers!!

Seahawks 31
Bears 21
Maurice Morris is an adequate replacement for Alexander. Seattle D is better than people think. Grossman is grossly overrated.
