I'm somewhat skeptical of the idea of ghosts and hautings, but my husband and I used to live in a very, very old house (complete with hidden passways, hidden walls, creepy basement etc) and once we moved into our current home I felt...relief. But while in home #1 I didn't realize I felt creeped out. Home #1 also took 5 years to sell (we rented in for 1 year). Also, when searching for a home to purchase, one house we found I liked and was very practical for us but it freaked me out. I told my husband someone had died here and I wanted to get out of the house. He said he felt the air "was thick", whatever that means. Do my husband and I have the abiltity to sence spirts/ghosts? My current home feels happy, but sometime I feel like whoever was here before had to leave and hated to see it go because they loved the home so much, but that they are happy we are taking care of it and enjoying it. Like I said, I'm not big on ghosts, etc, but what do you think?

I believe that you and your husband do have a special gift when it comes to regonizeing when spirits are present. but i also believe that you be skeptical of their exsitence is preventing you from enjoying the full experience. I have had many encounters and not all of them where pleasant but each one taught me something. I also agree that the spirits in your new home are happy because your taking care of it. The spirits must agree that you are a good fit for the home. Meaning that they dont think of you as a threat. so they are giving off good vibes.

Yes I believe in ghosts when me and my husband moved into our home that we live in now 8 yrs ago we had a ghosts in the living room you couldn't make out a face but you could see his figure right by the mantel. I was told some time later that there had been a weddding preformed in front of the fire place and I figured that he may have been waiting on his true love to join him. He stayed with us for the first four years that we have been here and then one day he left and I have not seen him anymore. My husband never saw him but I did and he never bothered us once. Maybe you and your husband are sensitive to those who have not quite passed and if they do no harm I would not be inclined to worry. If they bother you maybe you could get a priest or peacher to bless the house and maybe that will be the end of that.
Good Luck to you and yours!!!!!!

I was a skeptic also until I went on a "paranormal investigation". We took a camera and a tape recorder. There were some odd experiences during the investigation that at first I wrote off as tricks of the mind, the wind, I tried to explain everything. The pictures and the tape could not be explained. We got several EVP's that were very clear. The pictures had alot of strange things in them, too. So I can honestly say that after that, I am not a skeptic.

Once my husband and I moved into an apartment because the first month's rent was free. The kitchen always freaked me out but I reasoned that it was because the kitchen was without windows which made it dark. Then one evening something strong and invisible tried to push me down to the floor. I reasoned that it must be low blood or something medical like that. Though it never happened before or after that. I felt weak for an hour after that. A few months later, the neighbor next door told me the previous renter had been stabbbed to death by her boyfriend inside that apartment. I still wonder about it sometimes. I guess that's why the first month's rent was free.

Well I do believe in ghost. Sometimes the mind plays tricks with one, but since both you and your husband felt akward you might have sence something. Although old houses always creep people for some reason.

I don't believe in ghosts, and though I was taught to believe in demons, am not sure about that either. I know what kind of atmosphere you speak of and it can feel quite spooky. Maybe there is something out there after all? Who knows. I bet you are glad you sold the house and live in a happy home now.

I think you are lucky to get out of house#1 without anything happen to you. I know what thick air is...I got a chill reading your story. But I'm glad you have a happy house. This is called imprinting. All bad and good stay behind.

Asking me if I believe in ghosts is sorta like asking me if I believe in human beings. I know they exist because I have seen them and heard them myself. I am also a paranormal investigator and have done dozens of investigations.
Sometimes a place is haunted and sometimes there is no evidence of it.
As for your experience just judging from what little information you have given, I cannot tell if it was anything paranormal or just odd feelings on your part. Not to say it was not something paranormal, but there is just not enough information in your story to tell one way or other.

You and ur husband have a very keen sixth sense. Ur current home is happy probaly, there is a good spirit residing there, but in the other one there might be a bad spirit occuping in that house.
