Turn the breaker for the A/C unit off and press hard and hold for a second to turn it back on. It may have not turned on all the way. Also make sure your A/C is turned on and the temp is set correctly. Turn it down to see if it will turn on.

First off why are you flipping breakers?

It could be that the breaker associated with the compressor has not fully reset.
Second place to look is out at the unit there will be a box on hte wall with a metal jacketed cable coming out of it. This may have tripped as well.

Good luck and work safe.

Check the main breaker.Flip it completely off and then on your compressor runs on 220volts. If the main breaker is defective you will only have one leg of the 220v circuirt. Sorry you live in Texas. Lived in Copperfield area of Houston. Had same problem.

.If compressor was running at the time, it won't start again until the pressure equalizes. that keeps someone from burning out the motor by flipping breakers off and on

Did you by chance also open the door on the a/c unit to change the filter? If so, no matter what you do, the unit will not come back on until the door is completely shut.

Many A/C and heating units have a 5 minute delay before coming back on. A little patience might be the solution to your problem.

Probably has a separate breaker or safety switch right on or near the unit.

Most a/c units have one or more large red fuses in a gray box somewhere near the outside unit. You may have blown these fuses.

At this point, i would have an electrician come in and have a look at it...he may only charge for a small fee of comming over to the house if he fixes it by finding that small problem easily...

shaking my head yet again as to why people who have no idea what they are doing, seem to think they are an expert...
as far as the question, there could be about a dozen reasons why it wont start but I dont trust you to fix any of them
