Army is on land, Air Force is in the air

Once, way back when they wwer different parts of the same Department. The main Dept of Army had in it a part called the US Army Air Forces. I think it was 1947 when the Air Force became its own branch in the Department of Defense: the US Air Force.
The difference: the Army is made up of ground pounders and limited air units--mainly helicopters for moving around our ground pounders or attacking enemy ground pounders. The air units of the Army are designed to assist the ground forces. The goal is to control areas of land.
The Air Force is primarily concerned with airspace control for a combat theater or section of the world. They have bombers, yes, but mainly focus on controlling the skies against enemy air units. And, by sky, I mean all the way up into space when dealing with things like nuclear missiles.

Hi, the Army is usually concentrated its men and machinery on the ground forces during combat.... they do have helicoptors and fixed wing aircraft for spotting long range targets, for the artiliary to be called for the coordinates needed....

The Air Force,, is mainly used in carrying troops and equipment,, and delivering bomb ordinances and rockets to the objective in a battle... they have ground troops that maintain the aircraft and also have a elite unit of paratroops....

hope that helps in some way....

good luck

Your kidding, right? But in case you are not, besides airplanes, the Air force is considered the more intellectually challenging.
