It mostly makes smoke after I've been sitting at a light or super long drive through. It smokes when I push the gas pedal, then it stops after constant driving.

if the smoke has a little blue to it then it is oil
and maybe your valve seals need replacing..they are letting a small amount of oil go by and burn..
and when the oil heats up it thickens up and does not go by as much.
if your valve guides are worn the same thing happens, but when the engine warms up, the metal kind of swells up and the lose fit kind of goes away and lets less oil by..
either way you may be able to help this by switching to FULL SYNTHETIC motor oil like Castrol or Mobil One .( use the highest thickness like 20/50 ) this will help also...
FULL synthetic motor oil does not BURN like dinosaur oil does...

try it..you may like it..

good luck

Without knowing if your car is fuel injected or carburated it hard to guess. As some else said, black smoke is usually oil or a very rich fuel mixture, white smoke is moisture entering the combustion chamber somehow. Has the gas mileage changed significantly? On a fuel injected car, several things could make it smoke, most likely a bad injector constantly pumping fuel into the combustin chamber. An emissions test might tell you what is wrong, contact - if you know one - a good auto repair shop.

Park on a flat surface. Allow the car to sit (NOT running) for a couple hours. Check the oil level. Is it down? If it is, add or change. Pull the coolant fill cap. Is it down? If it is, add a 50/50 mix of coolant & water. Now.........which level was down? If it's oil, it's probably passing through the rings..........Sell the car. If it's coolant, replace the head gasket or add barleaks. By your symtoms, I'd guess oil.

your car has alot of miles on it. this is normal for high mileage cars. check the oil and top it off. i mean keep oil in your car. you can drive your car for many years like this. if your car dont have many miles then i would start to be concerned. at 150 thousand miles and up this is normal and make sure you keep oil at the proper level. you wont have to check it everyday just check it everyweek
