why would it want to?

Because people can not be bought.

Besides, although the US is alot more econimically set than Canada, if the borders between us were closed;

Canada is self sustaining thanks to Alberta. That means, they can survive on thier own if needed.
The US however, is a not self sustaining. We turn to Canada and buy ALOT of their resources to help the US Residents.

Infact, we would be worst off without Canada. Besides, they have helped the US in times of war. Especailly the first and second.

Not to mention Canada also is the only Country to ever invade the US and win. Infact, they burnt down the white house which used to be red. They repainted it white, so the Americans would not remember the trajedy.

Canada by the way is not cold and not undeveloped. Infact, alot of the States is alot lower in average temperatures than Canada. ITs an old wives tale that Canada is ALOT colder than US. As well, if Canada is so "Undeveloped", how is it they are self sustaining when the US is not?

Another intereresting fact, since you mentioned it;
Did you know that any wheres overseas if you walk around with a Canadian flag on your backpack, you are treated extremely kindly without hesitation. If you wear an American Flag, you are not allowed into some bars and local restuarants...

Interesting........

Do we want Canada that badly? We can barely manage the tasks at hand with the huge country we now have! Plus at least half of Canada is cold and undeveloped.

If the we are so similar, then what makes you think canada hasn't thought of buying the US?

For the uneducated and forgetful few, Canada is the ONLY country that has come to the aid of America in times of national and natural disasters... and America did not even go out of their way to ask... not ONE other solitary country has done that for this country. Let's not dump on them. They ARE our good neighbors, and have stood by us in our times of need. Use a bit of courtesy, diplomacy and respect to those that have never turned their backs on us!
