first, how many are really civilians and not terrorists hiding among civilians, second, how many are killed by people other than coalition forces. third, why the hell would our guys intentionally target civilians in the first place? Are you really suggesting that is official policy? Why would you think that? They go out of their way and put their selves in grave danger to avoid Iraqi innocent causalities. Why do you hate the military?

It looks like that number is a little closer to 50,000, then 150,000. Alot of the time it's street battles where a terrorist takes a hostage, or a terrorist starts shooting in a street. And not all iraqi civilians are killed by americans.

I'm pretty liberal overall and I have to agree with most of the answers here. They don't fight fair. They place the targets in the middle of civilians to deter attacks and then shake their fingers at us and announce to the world that we are cowardly murderers for the civilian casualties. Pay no attention to those numbers. Who counts them? They do. We'll know at least part of the truth in a few years.

Don't know... who killed them? Where did you get the number? Who says that they were "civilians"? Are all these deaths the result of military action? Need some context here.

The numbers are high. But not that high. There are plenty of people getting killed by the insurgency. Or do you imagine all our 3,000 dead were killed by friendly fire? Scratch that, YOU do.

I can promise you those terrorists will not fight so hard to save your life.

OOOOH! Do ya think the "insurgents" are hiding behind them like the Hezbos did in Lebanon?
