Minimum Wage in California?

So i heard minimum wage went up just recently. Whats the minimum wage now in the LA County?

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger signed a bill on Tuesday (09/12/06) that will raise the minimum wage in January to $7.50 an hour and add another 50 cents the following January in 2008 — making the $8-an-hour minimum wage the highest in the nation.

I believe it is going up to $8 an hour in '07

It's currently $6.75 but supposed to go up in January. I don't remember by how much but the Anold, our gov. recently signed it into law.
