I want to get a half dozen freshwater clams but I have a freshwater eel. I want to know if the eel will attack the clams. My tank is as follows:

55 gallons
Freshwater
Rocks for decor and fine grain substrate
2 plecos
10 assorted common fish (community)
1 tiretrack eel
Good lights
Good filter
Air system
tempurature stable at 79 degrees

If you need to know anything else sing out.

My understanding is freshwater eels like crustaceans, brine shrimp, bloodworms, any food that floats to the bottom. They will eat ghost shrimp and as they get older, they will eat small fish. I have no experience with clams. If they stay closed all the time, they should be fine.

the in elementary words sparkling water eel accessible for retail is the said moray eel, you could ask your interior reach fish/puppy keep in the journey that they arrive in to order. There are also pecock, tire music and spiney eels, even with if those aren't any further truly eels they're accually fish they're truly neat and get huge they eat small fish and crustations and are remarkable jumpers so have a good in good structure on your tank I truly have lost 3 to junping out of the tank. Any fish keep should be promoting any of the three eels reported above, if no longer then in simple terms ask them in the journey that they arrive in for order :)
