For instance... not to pick on this one thing, there are so many examples, but....

How many young men do we have to see wearing stocking caps all year long, even in the summer? This is obviously an uncomfortable thing to wear. Why do young people think they have to copy every wacko thing that somebody does?

Yeahhh.... I'm "old" compared to lots of you, but I don't think that's the point. Even when I was young, I tried new things and didn't just copy what everybody else was doing. We thought the styles were pretty free in the 21st century... nobody cares if you wear skirts short or long, or if you wear hair short or long (like when I was a teenager).... and so... why do kids still COPY each other? You are so much more free to be different now. Why not be different? No tattoos or piercings... there would be a nice way to be different.

yup, story of our school lol. Everything seems to spread like a virus even when its your idea and no one did it before you. Even though its so called "flattery" its so annoying cause you try and do it to stand out but that all backfires on you when you end up looking like everyone else.

Yes I do hate it, I'm not trying to sound conceited or anything but I always seem to start wearing something new and then a few months later EVERYBODY is wearing it. I'm not saying everyone copies me, I just seem to have this uncanny knack of picking what's going to be in fashion. It's really annoying, I was wearing spots and stripes way before every single store was full of them, same with high waist belts, bows on things, headbands, cropped jackets, leggings/tights. It's like every time I like something the whole world decides they like it too, and wear it to death and then I don't want to wear it anymore because I like to look like an individual. Grrrr
