If you (or someone you know) is struggling with anorexia, and wants to recover, you need to be followed by a treatment team. Gaining back the weight is difficult, both physically and emotionally. Depending on how severe the weight loss is, you need to be followed carefully, as gaining back to quickly can overwhelm the body (as it has essentially been shut down), and can lead to medical complications.

Here is a link to find ED treatment (therapists, nutritionists, etc):

I urge you to find a good team for yourself, and wish you the best of luck in recovery!

Somewhat like anybody else who wants to gain wt- just a bit more carefully. First, consult a doctor. Second, eat more than you burn- meaning eat more and exercise less. Also, a tip- after you eat, stay in a public place around other people so you will not have the urge to purge- if that is part of your symptoms.
Maybe this website will help you.

Talk to a doctor and a specialist and get set up in a treatment program because with eating disorders you have to deal with the mental and emotional damage the disease causes and then they deal with the physical. It's good that you're getting help because anorexia and bulimia are the biggest killers among white females since this is a disease that affects them in higher numbers than black and any other ethnic group. Part of your recovery is to also surround yourself with positive people and steer clear of people who are recovering from addictions and other issues because it will only dwindle you from getting the help and support you need to get better. Keep your family and friends close in your life and first and formost keep God first in your life and everything will work itself out for you and you will get better.

I'm sorry if you have suffered from this disorder. My friend's mom had this problem. I would talk to your doctor about gaining the weight back that is the safest thing to do. Good luck

talk to your doctor. If you have been anorexic for a long period of time your body may be really used to it and changing your habits too drastically could really hurt you. Also you need to speak with a Christian Councelor.
