Full Metal Jacket. I love the character of Sgt. Hartman, played by Lee Ermey. He's full of witty quotes. Check this out:

The Great Escape, Bridge over River Kwi, Behind Enemy Lines, These are some great war movies, in my opinion. I am not sure if there is a BEST movie, because everyone has and is entitled to his own opinion.

I would have to say We Were Soldiers, Forrest Gump, and The Fighting Sullivans. The Fighting Sullivans is about 5 brothers that died together on a Navy ship.

best is an opinionated question. Noone can tell you what the best movie is. Odviously you allready know. I do agree with you but good morning vietnam was also great. and there are just tons of great military movies. we were soldiers is a good one. but as for best. you allready know the answer to that question cause your the only one that can answer it
