You do as I do when I'm anxious: you tell everybody you meet about it, and eventually someone steps up to the plate and actually helps you solve things. Your reasoning is this way: "If people do not know what I need, how can they possibly help me?" Answer: Make everyone, as you just did all of us, painfully aware of your circumstances, and that you are gratefully accepting any and all help on the matter. Sent to you with home-finding energies from Chris in South Portland, Maine, U.S.A. (I am 63 years old and I am asking God to help you easily find a great place to call your own within a reasonable time frame. God can do anything, so I am certain He has heard me and will help you. As He has helped all of us at some point in our crazy lives.)

Go on a day trip to France , lose your passport on the way back, then when you get back here pretend you can't speak English well and convey to the immigration officers that you are seeking asylum . You will be given a house , a car, and unlimited benefits. But for God's sake don't let on that you are British .Your feet wouldn't touch the ground !And you would probably end up in the slammer.

Go to the Housing Dept of your local council, tell them you are an illegal immigrant/asylum seeker, and you'll get a place just like that.

First, pick a bank, any bank, talk to the loan officer for mortgages. Tell him what you want and he will tell you your options. If you get a rude one, or don't understand what was said, go to another bank. It will seem simple after a while.
