(Serious Answer)
Because men are, for better or worse, in power in this culture. There is a reason why there are no "White History" classes taught in universities, or "Studies in Athiesm" subjects.

(Less Serious Answer)
Because it is already way to easy to find information on Wrestling, The Three Stooges, Beer, and Porn on the internet.

In order for it to be sexism, you need to have components of discrimination (which is there) AND power. Men have the power in Western society, so....no sexism. Women's studies, as I understand it, is about the history of women's struggles against the aforementioned male power structure, as well as women's place in the general recorded history because they still to this day are often left out. There's no NEED for a men's studies topic. There's no need for "men's studies", which is why no uni on the planet offers courses in a department of that title.

Might not be equal, but it is equitable.

I love questions like yours which state the obvious & make you think. We live in a patriachcal society & the rules are largely made by men. So let the men answer this question. As far as I am concerned I feel its coz men have not evolved enough to warrent a separate category :)

Women's studies were made by women. If you wanted to make men's studies... you can do it if you want to.

You're right, of course! There IS Men's Health but there is no Men's Studies.
But if there were one, do you think many guys would use it?

I know why they have "women's studies", but I agree with you (and the thought has occurred to me in the past)....

There should be a category for men as well.
