I had trouble with the shower also.
I found out if I sprayed bleach on the blackened spots - it cleaned it right up.
Now I have Scrubbing Bubbles slung over the shower head - I press it after every shower and it really keeps the shower clean.
Hope that helps.

I use Comet, and scrubbing bubbles. The Comet is for the bottom of tub, it's textured and dirt gets trapped. I wet the tub, then sprinkle some on and leave for at least 3 hours, depending on how dirty it is. The scrubbing bubbles is for the rest of the tub and walls.

I use Citrus Cleaner, you can get that almost anywhere. It works really well and gets the grime off the tiles and cleans the tub really well.

i like using ajax or comet only for the tub and shower. its the best getting the ring around the tub, etc. do it when u finish your bath or shower. everything is warm and even easier.
