It depends on why you are going there and how old you are. If you are a teenager, you don't want to go on there and link up with people that you do not know. If you are an adult, you don't want to create a profile that could cause problems for you at work or your reputation in general. It really all depends on why you're going there.

My space is safe for those who fear the internet...even then, some things are much stranger than fiction. As long as you don't become a friend whore (more than 1000 friends that aren't bands or the like) you should be fine

It depends what you're looking to do. It's a good site to meet new people and network with people who've got like interests...etc.

well... its not ALL THAT safe, but if you do get one i recommend it being private. dont put any personal info on there either, but if you are safe and causious yea, its really really fun :0)
