I think James is the best NBA player in the league. If you check all the articles around the web... everyone will seem to agree. Yeah, he is also the best High School Player ever runners up... Moses Malone, and Kobe. Just because James's numbers are more impressive than Kobes were in his first few years.
I see James currently as Jordan was in the 88-90 seasons. I think we can compare the two equally because Jordan battled the Pistons with Thomas and the Lakers with Johnson and Boston with Bird in the later 80's. Similarly James is going up against Kobe granted there is no team there, but also Wade Shaq and the Heat, and the Mav's and Dirk.

As you may have noticed you raised some flack here. He is a good player but there are also others. As for anyone being an M.J. forget it. There was one and only one, no one has even come close to doing what he did. Kobe,James or Wade maybe come famous and actually make it to the HOF, with or without a ring, but they are not a Michael Jordan. They just don't have the class.

No but then again the NBA is so wide open, there is no stand out BEST at this moment. Many people in certain circles don't even consider him the best of the '03 draft, they talk of Dwayne Wade before ever mentioning him.
