i really need to figure this out. i was looking through some casting calls and i found one for a music video and they replied back. but now i'm not sure if it's a paid job or not. If it says rate $tbd per tbd. It should be paid, right? and another question, would it be rude to ask how much they're paying. What would be a good way of asking? how do i word it without sounding too interested in the money? Please help....this is my first time ever doing something like this. thanks

$(rate of pay)tbd (to be determined). Yes.

As for asking, don't be afraid. If they don't know that you're in it for the money, they're too stupid to be in the business anyhow. Make sure you find out what the rate of pay is ahead of time, come right out and ask them. They will more than likely appreciate your upfrontness

I would say it means Time To Be Determined. Yes I would ask how much it pays.
