Your bad car karma will smack you upside the head. I can't wait to hear what horrid misfortune befalls you. You deserve it, shame on you.
I would buy the car back and apologize.
What would your mother say regarding your blatant thievery? You make your wife sound like a heartless shrew! You two deserve each other and all the misfortune that falls on you.

Well I guess your wife would make a better used car sales person than you or I lol. I could not sell someone something that I knew was going to s h i t its panties soon.
I don't blame you for feeling bad about this....and I guess if it is really bothering you you could just call her and say something like gezz you know I was talking to the shop where I was taking the car for service and he reminded me that the trans was getting weak has it been giving you any trouble? Or something like that. Then it would be up to you...maybe suggest that you will pay for half or something....or if she wants to return it....whatever. I would come up with something I don't think I could feel right about doing that to someone as I have had it done to me before.
Good luck and I hope you do the right thing.

If the co-worker comes in to complain about the car, just try to go the extra mile in helping her to get this done. Be friendly too. Don't admit any wrong doing cause you may cause resentment in the work place towards your wife.

i would say yea its common to feel bad. If you knew something was wrong with the car and sold it to them...well then i would feel the same way. But if nothing happens to it right away then do not worry..because after time they will just think that they did it and will replace it themslves.....its ok to feel normal...and over time your thoughts will change to just accept...but if you really feel that bad you can offer to get her a new transmission?

you should feel bad! What if the transmission goes out and she doesn't have the money to fix it? does she have kids that she needs to take to and from school? either way you should offer to help pay for the transmission repairs. You wouldn't want someone to do that to you and hey what goes around comes around!

Tell your wife's co-worker about the transmission and remind her of the contract.
