I'm only like 1 day late but i had a feeling so I took a test and it came back positive. Is it common for false positives?

I would say you are pregnant.....Congrats...But if you think it was wrong re-take the test again using first morning urine.

It is really not that common. It is easier to get a false negative than a false positive, if you got a positive it means you have excess of a hormon that is related to pregnancy, you are producing more than normal and to the urine test that means pregnancy.
I think the chances of you being pregnant are incredibly high. Take another test in 3 or 4 days, I know it is torture, believe me I have been there done that. I also suggest you get an appointment with your Doctor, tell the assistant you got a positive pregnancy test and you need to see your doctor inmediately. They will give you the appointment.
If you live in California there are places where they give you the tests for free and will give you some counseling. Good luck.

It sounds like you are pregnant. Congratulations. If you aren't sure, go buy another test. If that comes out pregnant then there honestly isn't any way that you aren't. It's almost impossible to get a false positive test. I've been horrible though, I've peed on four sticks now, all of them positive (I can't help myself, they stare at me from my drawer and I just have to check again.)

If you took a home pregnancy test and it was positive then you are 99% pregnant.A false negative is was more likely then a false positives.Make sure you make an appintment soon for your prenatal care when you go for your first time they will re test you.

Dunno about a false positve, could it be that you had unprotected sex earlier and you period was implantation bleeding?
