Not really. When we listen to people like the dixie chicks or mel gibson et al, then we get what we deserve.

Ronald Regan was an actor before he became president. There are many many actors that in politics. Sunny Bono was a Mayor, Arnold is our governor, and there are 10-20 that are senators now.
I am just glad that they are actually up there doing something to help this country.

Not at all. Why are actors any less qualified than anyone else? Our government is designed to be run by the people. Anyone can run for office and we all have a responsibility to participate.

Start voting for actors? We always have--politicians all act like they care about "the people", mostly all they care about are themselves and the power/perks of office.
