Firstly, that's GREAT that you want to work towards recovery! That's a huge first step.

Nobody should have to work through recovery alone. I would recommend finding a therapist who specializes in eating disorders, and possibly a nutritionist as well. Group treatment can also be vrey helpful. I am including links to search for an ED specialist, nutritionist, as well as support groups/group therapy.

Good luck! You can do it. :)

As someone who has struggled with this for over 15 years, I can honestly say I wholeheartedly believe you should find an eating disorder clinic or a psychotherapist who specializes in eating disorders. Don't wait as long as I have to get serious about recovery. There are a number of serious medical complications associated with bulimia. Kudos to you for acknowledging your struggle. Best wishes.

I have also suffered for almost 7 years, and you need to see a therapist who specializes in this subject and maybe also a dietician. They will help more than you can believe, and they will assist you in developing a healthy eating plan using baby steps. It won't be a drastic change, and when I started eating healthfully, I only gained about 5 pounds because they will also get you to exercise a normal amount. All in all, a dietician will make you a healthier person physically and an eating disorder specialist will make you a healthier person mentally.

Also, I suggest doing yoga... it made me realize how bad it felt for my body to be losing those nutrients, and it made me more conscious of what I need to be eating to feel good. Changed my life. It may not work for you, but give it a try!
