Because it's a facsist nation and ruled by milliataristic dogma. The US is the most war mongering nation on earth.

It also suffers with rampant paranoia and is trigger happy as a result.

It's hard to be like Jesus and turn the other cheek. Both sides in the current conflict have at times harmed the other. Border drawing and installation of the shah of Iran were ours, 9/11 and the storming of our embassy and some other things were their's. Why try to pick a point where it all started? I have no idea what to do about Israel, they have nuclear weapons, and I believe they would use them in a pinch. The arabs seem bound and determined to get that miserable piece of land back and every day they grow closer to having nukes too. I guess it all boils down to people making a choice: you have the war mongers who will call for bombing people back to the stone age but you have to ask yourself what the consequences of that would be for all the people of the world. If it goes that far we may find out where they are hiding the nuclear bombs in this country but not in the way we may have hoped for. I hope none are here...you see I live here.

what seems like the obvious answer is that greed is the motivation behind this. War generates money for the people that control the mechanism.

but the real motivations are probably even darker. go to google video and watch Michael Tsarion's- "origins of evil" lecture.

the Us has never cared about peace. since the beginning this country has been about killing and destroying anything in it's way

what is the US doing in every ones back yard?????? No one wants the opinions of the self proclaimed world police.......the US and its citizens would benefit much more if their leaders were working on its domestic problems rather than nosing its way into every other country...and the world would be a safer place if the US would stop trying to police every other country!

Well, if the rest of the world would obey us, then war would not be needed. Funny how the world didn't mind war when we were kicking the Nazi butt and the Japanese.
