since G pairs with C and A with C, thus if 28% is C, then another 28% is G... that leaves 100-56=44% for A and T, since A and T bond together and are consequently present in equal amounts, A=T=22%

Proportion of C=G
and A=T
So, if C=28percent, G=28percent
Therefore, A+T=100-(28+28)=44
So, T= 44/2=22
Thats your answer- 22 percent will be T

The above answer is correct except for a typo in the first line. C always pairs with G and A always pairs with T.
