I'm working on a project for World History and I have to prove the Babylonians were a civilization by telling about their form of writing. I think it was mostly cunieform, adopted from the Sumerians, but I'm not sure. If you have any info please help me!

Go to Google

Type in: "Find Babylonian style of writing"

Hit "Search" key

You Will bring up a number of different sites.

Click and read the second on the list which is

"Read This: Lengths, Widths, Surfaces"........

and you can also scroll further down on the list and CLICK::

"(12) Early civilizations and the development of writing systems in..."

Both can help you with your project.

Good luck

all i remember is the word "cuneiform".
use a google or yahoo search, put in the words, in quotes "cuneiform, babylonian, world history, writing"
it will look for those exact words in whatever website.
(it helps narrow down the searches a lot more; put in more words associated with your topic that you can think of; put in less to get a broader search, maybe you can find a link for another site?)

That's correct. Cuneiform was used by a lot of different civilizations, including the Akkadians, who were Babylonians.
