Here is a good way to up your level in FF8!!
Did you know Esthar City?
After it been attack by monster,(there're many,i din remember what monster...maybe come from space?)
there's a monster will stay in Esthar City!
You can received many Exp and Ap after defeat it...
this monster's name "Elnoyle",is a flying monster,
it's strong,but you can defeat it easily by this way :
set magic "death"x100 to your status attack,
better let 3 charactor set "death"x100 in status attack,
and set ability "Recover" to charactor that who equip Shiva GF.
that monster will counter attack,
so remember use "Recover" to restore HP...
and you can draw Pain,Holy,and another one magic(i forgot already...)
remember that you should set "death"magic!!
draw 300 "Death" magic from other monster before you fight with "Elnoyle"...
you can use this way to up your level until level 100!!
really fast and easy!

here a tip i found for exp and ability point:

-Easy Ability Points

Go to Cactaur Island and earn 20 AP for each Cactaur that is defeated in battle. Cactaur Island is the small island covered by a desert.

-Easy Experience Points

Display the world map and travel to the left-most island. It contains powerful monsters that can easily level up your characters after battles.

you really do not want to level up

why?

the enemies level up with you.

it is MUCH easier to beat bosses when you are level 20 than when you are level 90, because the enemies stats are lower too, and they have access to less attacks
