It's simple. The right does not require you to think or considerate of others. It's easier to try to bend everyone to yiour way than to try and understand. People don't like to think.

They believe in the leadership in this country and know that by no means are decisions in this country made by one man. They also know that the left is just as much at fault in regards to the countries problems as the right is as neither side will make a decision. They simply want to discredit the other side in hopes of winning elections and do not care that issues in this country need to be solved in order for the people in this country to get along and move on.

People generally don't like to have anything that contradicts their preconceived beliefs. It's why when you throw facts at them, they just babble and start spouting rhetoric. If they were to actually accept what you told them, it would corrode their basis for believing everything they hear from the polluted right.
