I went over there today, and some sort of critter had chewed through the floor and entered the house. It snatched a blanket from the baby bed, and tried to pull it through the hole in the floor. Does anyone know what this could be and how I could get rid of it?

Sounds like you have a RAT! Get some D-Con and place it in a safe place, where the baby can not get it. This will work for chipmunks too.

Sounds like what a racoon would do...better call the Board of Health and get a trap set and they'll notify the landlord to repair the property.

Honey: you has rat problem the only way to get rid of them
is put traps baited with cheese one under frige , bathroom next
to toilet , bed room put it next to the wall in conner be real care
ful with set traps because they will break finger if triggered
