not all blacks are African Americans though.

I personally prefer black because my lineage does not only inlcude african. I have german, native indian, african, hispanic, etc. some of everything down the family line, LOL. I like the term black because it's a combination of all colors. It's seems to suit me better.

I am black and I do not have a problem with anyone calling me a black person it does not have to be african american. Too me is just a proper way of saying it but it is not necessary.

However, If people who are not white call me the "N" word then we will have a problem. I have never met a person who is not black call me a "N" in my face. If that was too happen it would not be good....

I go for black, because well I'm latinamerican. I usually select 'Other' or 'Latinamerican descent' in forms, because being latinamerican nobody is of pure race really, and I consider myself latinamerican more so than black. I think its a cultural thing people here don't really care as much as maybe in the US.
