i just bought an fx5200, which was going to replace my 6200. the only problem is that when i take the 6200 out, and put the 5200 in, my bios and the windows logo appear, but i cant get into windows. i've also tried putting them both in at the same time, but then niether of them work. i've also tried putting them in different pci slots.

2gb of ram
400w psu
celeron d 2.53ghz

You don't specify if either/or they are AGP or PCI. If your 6200 is AGP, then the new 5200 needs to be an AGP as well. If your motherboard uses AGP slot for graphics, that is what you need to use.

Boot to safe mode by clicking F8 on when windows is starting. Delete the existing display device in device manager in control panel, turn off, put the new card in, turn it back on, it should work.

install the 6200 then open your computer., remove the software then adjust the resolution(800x600) then turn off your computer., remove the 6200., install the fx5200 turn on the computer., then install the software...adjust the resoltion in which the monitor can support.

You cannot replace with FX 5200 cause it's need a configuration from the system manufacturer,so do it first by calling the company concerned.

put the old card back in and uninstall the drivers first, then put in the new card and boot up, then follow the directons!
