Well, my kids have been earning their own pocket money for ages now...
At eleven, a kid can:
Offer to help older neighbors clean their yard
Deliver the newspaper
Offer a dog-walking service
Offer to sweep someone's drive
Keep the kitchen clean
Wash mom and dad's car
Do household chores like dusting, emptying garbage cans
Offer a mom help service: keep a younger child occupied while mom gets her things done while she is around and you are around...

The normal thing in chores around the house. Help neighbors that u know of like raking leaves, paper routes, help with groceries, babysit( only if mature), walking dogs, take out trash. Every thing u did as a child should be sufficient.

If a girl, babysitting and making cookies to sell at a lemonade stand. Making pot holders or doing cross stitch.
If a boy, possibly babysitting if he's well trained. Mowing lawns, shoveling snow, washing and cleaning out cars, cleaning out garages, planting flowers for the elderly and handicapped, running errands for the elderly, like to the grocery store etc.
