center piece has funnels for flowers or can be used for candles, total of five funnels on the bottom of funnel is marked toyko. This came with occupied japan china set my grandfather gave me. He bought this complete set while serving for the army and was in japan.

Pieces made in occupied Japan date from the post-WWII era when Japan was occupied by Allied troops. It is extremely collectible.

I strongly advise you to take it to an appraiser, if only to get an insurance value.

That's nice, but you didn't finish off and ask your question. If you repost you will likely find someone who knows the answer. If the question are they worth a lot of money the answer is probably not. In order to find out why look up sterling silver in and what makes it sterling and what is the international convention for silver and gold. The set has to have a registered hallmark. If it doesn't have a hallmark at all it is silver plated.
