Im 16 and i've been moving around for the past two years since my mom kicked me out. My parents are divorced and up until 2 years ago i was living with my mom. When she told me to move out i moved in with my aunt, then my grandma, then my freind, and then my dad. Each house i went to i burnt my bridges and they all were fed up with me and wanted me out. At the beginning of the summer my dad kicked me out and we have not spoke since. I then moved in with my 19 year old brother for the summer. I went to get independant living and they told me i wasnt qualified thats when my social worker stepped in and called my mom. Im back with my mom again now and going to school but the problems are already starting, she has very bad depression and i feel that the only resolution is that i move either out on my own or in with my brother. Can i do this or would i have to get emancipated first? I read about the laws for emancipation, but im not sure what i qualify for.. please help.

You would have to be emancipated. However you will have to prove to the courts that you are a legally responsible person and from what you have written it does not sound as if you are. Contact social services and see if they can remove you from your moms house into your brothers house. Once you are there do not burn your bridges or you will have no place to go except forster care.

Easiest way is to get emancipated but just move out..kids do it all the time...unless you are emancipated i suggest living with the brother..its easiest
good luck
