Yes, it could be called greediness if they want more than necessary. It could depend on age or the amount of curiousity one has...anyway... ^^;; What are your thoughts?

I think it depends on personality because a lot of people find something that makes them happy and they cling to it for the rest of their lives. But others simply have that personality that makes them move from one thing to the other, and even if it makes them happy, they have to move on to something new and fresh.

True happiness comes from within, from loving yourself. If you love yourself, what more do you need? If you hate yourself then nothing will ever be enough. Greed comes out of insecurity & a feeling of lack. Look how many wealthy & famous people are depressed, suicidal, on drugs. Because despite all their material possessions they may feel empty inside. Meanwhile someone living a simple modest life on a farm may be happy & not feel they need anything more. Happiness is a choice. You can decide to be grateful for who you are & what you have. Or you can choose to be miserable & focus on what you lack...

I find that every time I think I find happiness it turns into nothing...... I can't ever stay happy with what or who I have..... I always think there is more out there... there has to be something else...... It's something that I think about almost everyday. I may sound greedy but I think its part of nature to always want more because its what keeps you goin and motivated in life.....Sometimes I wish it wasn't like that.......

Like all general questions of this sort,it depends on the person.
Speaking for myself, one of my greatest flaws is that I never know
when to stop pushing for more. Whether the cause is greediness,
age or something else,it can cause problems.

I don't think that finding happiness and looking for something else are necessarily mutually exclusive. You can do both. Heck, some might even say that the happiness is in the search.

It depends on the person. Many things make me happy, being able to see, touch, taste, hear, feel, to cry, to laugh and the ability to love. Being in touch with yourself and doing all that you can should make you happy. some people will never accomplish this because they won't allow themselves to be happy with the intrinsics, they want the tangibles.

Hi, Anonymous,
It's a search for "something", you already have... Granted, it may not be obvious, for your happiness may be hidden in the recesses of your being....
>>>>
We need to change : our "focus", from what we can't do.. to what we "can", from problems to solutions, from depression to inspiration, from doubt to confidence... Focus on what you want to be, not on what you think you are....
>>>>
Once we realize our true nature, we won't go "looking" for happiness.. in all the wrong places.... But as long as we are trapped in our ego, we will feel that we are incomplete and imperfect... Believing, that we are inferior, we will search for happiness outside ourselves. After all, the "ego" : believes "Everything Good is Outside" (E.G.O.) ...We mistakenly believe, we will find happiness when we do something else, move somewhere else, or meet someone else.... But no matter where we move, what we do, or who we meet, we will always be in our "own company"... If we can't be happy where we are, we can't be happy were we're not ... ;)
>>>>
Thanks, for the question!;)

My regards!

if you do find perfect happiness and have the option to keep it, then what? the pursuit of happiness(or particles of happiness) is essentially the point of our existence to US. Once we stop looking for little things that mean a lot to us, we might as well lay down and die, because survival, all by itself, isn't enough for us.

im not pessimistic, but if you think about, you can never find hapiness. there will only be times in the future when you are extremely happy at one point but it wont last forever.
