of course Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton are obviously classics but as for the newer players there are guys like Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and Micheal Angelo, if you have ever seen Micheal Angelo play you would see that he took playing to a whole other level

The most talented guitarists don't even play commercial rock music. Allan Holdsworth, Greg Howe, Frank Gambale, and Scott Henderson, are truly the hot players....
