8/2 + 4 = 8

(8 - 4) * 2 = 8

(4 - 8) * -2 = 8

if you can also use exponents:

4^2 - 8 = 8 (4 squared minus 8)

if you can use a number more than once, then there are an infinite number of solutions:

(8 * 8) / (4 * 2) = 8
8 * (2/4) * (4/2) = 8
(8 - 4) + (2 * 2) = 8
(8 * 4) / (2 + 2) = 8
