Let's face it, the East runs the show here in the USA. Always has,
always will. I'm talking the eastern seaboard, incl. all points between DC and BOSTON.
Where can you even begin to describe the center of power that
is the eastern seaboard? For starters, the financial capital of the
world, New York. Over 50% of fortune 500 companies are headquartered there. Over and above that, it is also the cultural
center of the world, hands down(sorry LA and CHICAGO).
Then we have Boston. Here we have the greatest intellectual
center of the world, centered on world class universities and think tanks. Then Washington DC, political capital of the world, that is so integral to world affairs that it's essentially beyond description,
along with being tone of the greatest centers of museums in the world, The Smithsonian alone trumps any cultural institution any other city in the USA has to offer........
and finally, Eastern capital seeded the rest of the USA, and still does.....the East rules..

The midwest counts for nothing now, except for Chicago, which was entirely
seeded with easern capital. Chicago is
essentially an eastern city anyway, and
one walk around the loop makes you realize the the original founders from the east intended a NYC west, with the L train
and all. SO Chicago is a midwest misnomer. The rest of the Midwest is a rusted out waste of dispossessed blue-collar folks with rusted-out hulks of factories...........The great plains are nothing......the south is nothing outside
of Atlanta, some of Florida, Dallas -ftw/
Houston, and parts of virginia and
north carolina that are part of the eastern seaboard anyway......the southwest is sleepy and mostly desert...las vegas is an inconsequential neon tourist trap, and Phoenix is a desert mirage chasing fleeing
biz from cali's tax base......California is
shot, arnold doesn't know what to make of it. Housing is crazy, and the tax base smokes biz out of state..the pac nw is
nice, but holds no water nationally
