Science education comes from books AND from practical experience. That is why you have lectures along side labs. If your premise was true then lectures would be unnecessary. Think about it.

Science is a process.
In order to understand a process you learn by doing.
Just like Intellect comes from books however wisdom comes from practical experience

This is not true..
Maybe this was true a long time ago but there is too much science now that you must first learn from books before you can start out on your own to new discoveries...

All the origional scientific experiments, epiphanies, or discorveries came by good old fashion observasinon- not out of books. These guys wrote the books (sorcrties, enistine,)
Experiments are tested not read (another point)

Due to peer review, scientists make sure others are not just writing crap. The experiment must be reproducible and confirmed by others. Science is taken VERY seriously and a loss of reputation can end one's career if not land them in jail/get them sued due to harmful effects of false promises.

its not true, it comes from both, or either, but dont exclude formal education from books, it is very useful and practical experience will only take you so far in many things.
