The mitochondria don't have jobs! They're SLAVES!

Mitochondria USED to be free, independant organisms. You can tell this by consulting with some of their free brothers, the Rickettsiales bacteria. Even now mitrochondria have their own DNA completely seperate from their so-called 'host' and reproduce according to their own, ancient ways.

Sadly, the tyrant cells they are imprisoned in now force them to work day and night producing energy without rest! Nor is this work without risk - many of the most dangerous oxidative toxins are produced as occasional by-products of metabolism, with the unfortunate mitochondria at dead center to endure most of the horrible, horrible consequences. And when they die from this exposure, the cells just eat them, laugh, and point at the other mitochondria. Those FIENDS!

I say contact your senator and the U.N.! Something must be done for these poor guys. And eat lots of antioxidants in the mean time!
