To heal? It could take weeks to months. To get to the point where you are comfortable, it totally depends on your treatment. I could get someone running in less than a week. I would say that a conservative guess would be that most people who don't do anything feel better in about 2-3 weeks. Some sooner and some later. I would recommend seeing a doctor and getting physical therapy. If you have access to an athletic trainer I would utilize them because they may be able to get you back much faster.

I've had both my ankles sprained twice. If it's not too severe, you can expect to be limping from 7 to 10 days.

Have you tried Arnika (not sure about the spelling), its a homeopatic drug, tried once when I injured a knee some years ago, and seemed to help heel the injury better than anything.
