I am not going to tell you to quit smoking or look down upon you for your choice t smoke while you are pregnant.Of course you are aware of the risks and if you are willing to live with those then that is your choice.I am not so sure that smoking will make a difference in the way you labor and deliver your baby.Smoking will though affect your babies birth weight and could possibly affect other things.I had my twins completly natural i was very healthy and carried my twins to 38 weeks.Because of your smoking there is a risk that you may have to have a c-section because sometimes babies of smoking mothers can not tolerate stress of your labor, especially because the risk of low birth weight along with other factors. Just keep in mind how important your body is for bringing a healthy baby into the world, and having twins already automatically puts you at high risk so statistically the odds are against you.I wish you lots of luck and i will pray for your twins.

Even Doctors tell you to cut back and if you smoke less than a half a pack a day your child will be fine. I asked several doctors on this. Yes it's a bad habit and hard to break. I have had three children smoked less than a half a pack a day and they are healthy and have no issues with emotions or development problems. The lady I nanny for has twins and did they same thing the boy are healthy with no problems what so ever. If you smoke more than the half a pack and then yes you can in danger your unborn child. And many people live for years smoking. My grandmother on my fathers side has smoke for over 60 some odd years and is in perfect health with no problems. I am not saying it's good to smoke and yes some do get effected by it but you just have to watch how much you smoke.
Also my babies were perfect weight and length when born.Son 8lb and 21inch other son 8 1/2 lb 20inch and daughter was 7lb and 21inch she would have been around 9-10lb but was two weeks early.

What is more important to you, yourself or your babies? You can ruin your own health, but your children don't have a say in the matter! I am speaking pure facts not just opinions, it is a PROVEN fact that smoking causes low birth weight in babies, and they are more susceptible to respiratory and other health problems. Knowing that twins are usually lower in birth weight and can have medical issues off top, why would you even need to ask? But since you need someone to tell you: Umm DUH! Twins are at risk for health factors and low birth weight as it is, smoking increases these risks to a great degree in normal single pregnancies of otherwise healthy fetuses, so what do you think the odds are for twins that are already candidates for problems?! People should not get pregnant if they are not willing to put their needs below their babies. I have dealt with many moms that smoked while pregnant and sometimes the stress of quiting completely would cause too much stress to mother and baby, in these instances slowing down is the key. The less you smoke the better off those poor beautiful twins will be, if you can't quit altogether, which is BEST!!!!
Soobe you are my HERO! GOOD ANSWER!

If you are pregnant and you smoke, then you are endangering the fetuses!!
It really galls me, how people abuse children and not even know it!! You screw up your life, and dont worry about the children your carrying!
You take years off your life that belong to the children, and possibly give them a cancer in utero, or alter thier genes by the carcinogens in your blood, and THIER BLOOD, and not think a thing is even wrong....
People who smoke and are pregnant should be charged with Child abuse...
I wish you well..

If you smoke now is the time to give up. It is unfair on your future children not to give them the best possible start in life.

How selfish can you get?! Low birth weight babies mean: more likely to have health problems, developing breathing problems, bleeding in the brain, heart problems, etc. And your expecting twins? Double the dangers. Puff puff.......................
