My mic keeps cutting out after a few seconds. When I do the echo123 call my voice is relayed back to me perfectly so its not the configuration (whatever that means. Its the term the woman on Skype uses) Has this happened to anyone else and is it a problem with the mic or with my skype reception? Its been happening since last week. Thanks in advance to anyone who answers.

Your headphone contains two parts

1) Mic - Microphone - which interprets your voice
2) Speakers - Through which you can hear.

Looks like there is a problem with your wires connecting to speakers. Change the headphone and check.

I am sure this is not a problem pertaining to SKYPE

Hi there

I find that sometimes my voice is relayed back to me after a few seconds and I can't hear the person I'm talking to and they can't hear me. I think this is sometimes to do with the amount of bandwidth that is being used by other applications on your computer. Skype requires a reasonable amount of bandwidth to work properly. This is why it doesn't work on dial up. You get quite a lot of delay in the voice transmission on dial up I've been told. If you have ad ware or spyware on your computer, this will cause your internet connection to slow down.

I had this problem using the headset, I had to get new ones, I thought maybe it was Skype, but it ended up being the set, since I got a new pair I've had no problems. Don't know if it will be the same for you though.

It might be a broken wire in the headset.
