My twin brother and I were a part of a band with our best friend for a couple years until my brother was killed. Every year since then (6 years ago last week) Spike and I find an old Sammy song that he wrote and we never got to play (there are quite possibly thousands). This year we found one that fits really well into both of our lives and we're performing live tomorrow evening. We really want to introduce the song as something but one problem... Sammy never got around to giving this particular song a title. He simply left "TBD" on it. So really, I've got 2 questions for the Y!A community...
1. Should Spike and I give it a title, why or why not?
2. If we should what is your suggestion?

(I'm running out of character space so I'll post the song as additional details)

I put my past into a line
A fabrication of space and time
It never made much sense to try
They'll only cut you down

I can't
I just can't
I just can't fake
I just can't
I just can't

I feel my pulse begin it's high
Oh high
So much hides behind these eyes
Don't be a saint
And you wonder why I hang my head
'Cause I
There are reasons I would rather feelin' high

My stomach churns my nerves in knots
Shake off this doubt, just make it stop
No pills to fix what I have got
Call it contempt

I cannot
I just can't
I just can't fake it
I just can't
I just can't fake it

I feel my pulse begin it's high
Oh high
So much hides behind these eyes
Don't be a saint
And you wonder why I hang my head
'Cause I
There reasons I'd rather feelin' high

I think it would be more appropriate to leave it untitled and tell the audience exactly what you said in your question. Tell them exactly why it is titled "TBD." I think it would have the most effect to the song and if the song was meant to be named, then it would have been when you guys were all together.

I think it is a wonderful song! It really touched me. Maybe you should just leave the TBD on it as a title, and introduce it in memory of your brother. My sympathies on your loss. I hope you solve your problem.

id just call it "sammys song" or "a song for sammy" give sammy the credit thats deserved, that way it not only will be a song you guys do, but a tribute to sammy and a fond memory for you as well

1. Just do what your heart feels is best.

2. For name suggestions try calling it "TBD", to commemorate your brother's work.

I'm sorry about your brother. My opinion is to just leave everything as he had it. It would make me feel better to know that I hadn't changed anything about it. Leave it as he left it. But that's just me.

i dont think u should give it title, just because it was really his work. or maybe just call it untitled. u should probably just dedicate it to him and leave it the way it is.
