Not sure what biogenesis is specifically, but it means, most likely, the creation or beginning of life.

Oparin believed that in the early stages of the Earth (3 billion years ago), compounds/molecules were first formed from sources of energy, i.e. lightning, volcanoes, etc. Specifically, according to the Miller experiment, the gases that were formed include Methan (CH4), Ammonium (NH2), and H2.

Oparin believed that these compounds combined, merged, etc. and basically began to interact with one another. That led to the first organisms, eventually.
