No. I discontinued my landline. I rely on my cell phone and use satellite for the Internet.

If you have dialup service, you of course have to have a phone line, but you don't have to have a telephone to hook up to the internet, just the telephone service.

If you use cable or dsl, there's no need for a phone line.

umm.. i think so, but you don't need to hook up the phone line, you can get DSL or a Cable Modem
